French antique filigree necklace. The style, featuring intricate, openwork links shaped like teardrops or navettes interspersed with smaller chain links, is characteristic of late Victorian or Art Nouveau French jewelry from around the 1880s to the early 1900s. Appears to be hand forged. Found in the tiniest of jewel shops in the 7th arrondissement. Length 20". Looks to be copper with worn gold plating. Extrêmement charmant!
